Financial Assistance Schemes (FAS)

Financial assistance offered by the Ministry of Education and the School Advisory Committee is available to needy students who meet the eligibility criteria stated for the different schemes. Forms can be obtained from the General Office at the stipulated periods of time.

The application period is through the year for youth centres and family service centres. The application period in schools is only from September to November each year.

Needy pupils from

low-income families in crisis as a result of the death of a breadwinner, a sudden illness or accident in the family

NEU PC Plus

Programme

 

PC-Bundle Eligibility Criteria – School going children

 

The application is open to Singapore Citizens or Permanent Residents

Full-time student in a Government school

Gross household income not exceeding $3,400 a month or the family per capita income (PCI) does not exceed $900 per month

Past recipient of a PC bundle under the NEU PC Plus Programme may reapply only after a lapse of three (3) years from last deployment to the household

Each eligible household can only apply for one (1) computer regardless of the total number of school-going children and/or household members who have permanent disability
